Events and Diary 2023

Here we are at another new year.  One more year and we will be 20 years old!

We continue to have an open spot night on the first Thursday on the month and in February we were entertained by Alan, Mark, Martin our Vice Chairman, Colin, John, our Chairman and Stan and Dinah.

We had our next spot night on 2nd March with songs from John, Martin, Rob, Mark, Colin,a pantomime performance from Jackie and Loz and a very attractive group consisting of Val, Shelagh, Jackie, Dei and Gay.  We still managed to have 14 club songs in between these performances.

Our AGM was on 9th March but was snowed out so took place on 16th instead.  Our Committee all agreed to stay in place except for Mick who has handed his job as Membership Secretary over to Jackie.  Thanks went to Mick for the years he had put in. Our Committee who do a fantasic job, will continue for another year.  They are joined by Stan Penman and Loz Rouse who will be in charge of the gigs from now on. See the Home Page for their details.

It is also when our members decide which charities our gig money will go to. This year the whole amount will go to Charlcot, Marie, Tooth UK which helps those like our own Dinah and Pete O who have this condition.

We had our annual visit from Banjacs, Dei on accordion, Keith on Banjo, Pete on Mandolin and Gay on guitar who join us to play lots of songs to remind us that we are part of the music scene and not an isolated group. Members could bring family and friends on this Thursday, 30th March. ALSO  it is not only a FREE night but your first drink is FREE!!
